One of the guys that works for us has had a bit of a disagreement with his wife so we have taken him in. Ronnie is a good worker, shows up on time, sober, and the animals all love him. We've let him stay here in the house, but now he has his own room upstairs until we can get the bunkhouse cleaned up a bit, fresh sheets and bedding, water turned on and toilet fixed. This is pushing the envelope a bit on MY FREE TIME!... however, the dogs are eating up the attention since Max & Alex are gone. We'll just see how things develop OR unravel around here over the next few days.

 I did manage to make Southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, IOWA Sweet corn on the cob and waldorf salad for dinner tonight.

 It's good of you to help out Ronnie, and I'm sure he will show his appreciation. Family disagreements can be long and complicated; I wish the best for him.

The temp here yesterday got to 95F, and is staying hot for weeks. It is difficult to take without air conditioning in the house. I am going to a community pancake breakfast in an hour, then watch the village parade.

We are cooler here today with a high of 81 forecast so it's perfect for concrete work

 Hope the boarder works out , Brett.. Hot out west...105.at home , went to sisters house at beach--temp. in 80's.......maybe weather will cool more later--fat chance, huh!

It's strill pretty warm out here for 11ish tonight so we'll just keep the AC on and keep it cool in the house. Some heavy duty storms to the North may get to us in the over-night and I don't need the windows open.
